Krabi Province in Southern Thailand offers some the most beautiful places whole Thailand has to offer. There are more than 130 islands, isles and islets, including the famous Phi Phi Islands, within its boundaries. The landscape and the sea are dominated by spectacular limestone outcrops or “Karsts”. The “Karsts” thrust skywards creating islands and mountains of unusual beauty and shape.

Krabi Town is nestled near the mouth of the Krabi River. The rives runs through a large expanse of wilderness before reaching the sea and is world renown for birdwatching and for the quality of its mangrove forest.

The KRABI SEAVIEW RESORT (under swiss management) in Ao Nang (17km from Krabi Town), built in the Thai style, offers a very charming and family-oriented atmosphere. Ao Nang beach is a short 150 meters away; from there you can reach numerous other beaches as well as islands by way of a short boat trip.

The main building of our resort houses the reception, the lobby, and our popular bar, "The Safety Stop". Comfortable accommodation aside, we also offer culinary delights in our excellent and highly popular restaurant, "The Roof". Our 5-star PADI Diving School, "AO NANG DIVERS" is ideal for diving enthusiasts as well as snorkellers.

Each one of Krabi Seaview's 17 bungalows within a beautiful tropical garden features a small terrace, air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a western toilet, hot-water shower, a small safe, a mini-bar, a hot water kettle (free water, tea and coffee), a telephone, as well as TV with separate UBC Satellite-Receiver (features many International channels in best quality). On request, a wireless Internet Connection (ADSL) is also available (against surcharge) within the bungalows.

Our well-renowned restaurant, "The Roof", is open for you year-round from 7:00 am to 10:30 am (breakfast-time) and from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm (dinner-time) daily. Enjoy our culinary delights, which range from Thai-Cuisine and Seafood Specialties to a large selection of European Dishes. That means that our kitchen, which specializes in Thai-cooking, will also create an excellent Filet of Beef with Sauce B?arnaise and French Fries, a “Z?rcher Geschnetzeltes with R?sti” or any one of many other European meals.

Our popular bar, "The Safety Stop" is open year-round from 10:00 AM. No closing-time is specified. We feature a large selection of cocktails, e.g. Mai-Thais, Pina-Coladas, Caipirinhas etc., as well as many mixed drinks and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Also, here in Ao Nang, our Italian coffees are said to be the best; be it Espresso, Cappuccino, Irish Coffee, or any other well-known special coffee.

The Krabi Seaview Resort has complete its construction of a new swimming pool (incl. kids pool and kids playing ground) in October 2002. We are also offering a high standard massage service within our pool area.

Given by our central location you can reach many well-known attractions on day trips by bike, motorcycle, or even more comfortably by minivan. Some of them can also be reached by canoe or long-tail boat. The following are possible destinations on such day trips:

The Tiger Caves, the Mussel Cemetery, the Waterfalls, the Hot Springs, the Hatchery, Canoeing Sites, James Bond Island (seen in "The Man with the Golden Gun"), the Phi-Phi Islands and the Caves of Pang Nga. A one or two-day trip to Kao Sok National Park is another unforgettable experience for nature-lovers. Have fun!

Sunshine, Beaches and the Ocean
The white sand beach of Ao Nang is about 150 meters away from our resort. It is about 2 km long and interspersed with minute pieces of mussel shells. The entire area surrounding Ao Nang is protected, meaning that it is prohibited to permanently install both deckchairs and umbrellas for rent.
There are many beautiful beaches (most of them to be reached by longtailboat within less than 30 minutes) in our region as Railay- and Phra Nang-Beach and the beaches from Poda- and Chicken-Island.

Diving/Snorkelling
Would you like to take a diving-course, or are you already familiar with the sports of diving? The KRABI SEAVIEW RESORT'S own 5-Star PADI Diving School, AO NANG DIVERS (see diving web page http://www.aonang-divers.com) offers diving instruction for all levels ranging from "Scuba Diver" to "Assistant Instructor". In addition, certified divers or snorkellers may take advantage of our day-long diving trips aboard our new and very comfortable diving vessel.

Shopping
There are many shops offering just about anything you may need in Ao Nang. These include photo shops, small retailers, and numerous artisans of the tailor's craft. Golf
On March 1st, 2000, the newly redesigned 9-hole "Pakasai Country Club" Golf Course was reopened. It is located about 40 minutes away from the Krabi Seaview Resort. This course offers an ideal, and very affordable opportunity for golfing in beautiful surroundings (there is a driving range, too). The famous golf courses on, and close to the island of Phuket are also easily reached in 1 ? to 2 ? hours of driving. By the way, as is customary on all of Thailand's golf courses, your golf bag is carried by a caddy!

Climbing
Krabi offers the best conditions for this activity, too! The beautiful limestone formations in our region are ideal for beginners as well as for experienced climbers (see picture underneath).
